Holiday destination
For village guests there is a well-kept pool and a tennis court. The bathing river with waterfall is 15 minutes walk away, the sea 30 minutes by car. The vineyards for hiking and the Montagne Alaric for climbing are right outside the door and the pyrännees are not far away. In the amphitheatre in the old chateau at the village fountain you can enjoy unforgettable concerts.
Great: the castles of the Cathars, Carcassonne, Fontfroide, Canal du Midi, caves, grottos, Lagrasse with Charlemagne, Dali Museum in Figueras ...
Getting there
The most scenic route is via the motorway: coming from spain or germany, take the motorway junction at narbonne in the direction of toulouse and take the first exit Lezignan (the same exit if you are coming from toulouse/carcassonne), then turn left via fabrezan to the right to camplong. The winding avenue of plane trees leads you past the cave kooperative (centre of red wine in the corbieres) into the village . after 50 m you are heading for the ancien café . to the left of this is the small lane "rue de l'ancien café". The garden gate/yard door is open on the right.
Voila, you are there. now relax!

Wir haben in den Sommerferien 2020 einen 2-wöchigen Urlaub im schönen und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichteten ancien café verbracht. Man hat bisweilen das Gefühl die Geschichte dieses Hauses sprichwörtlich greifen zu können. Bei Fragen rund ums Haus stehen Herr Schüßler bzw. sein Bruder gerne auch persönlich zur Verfügung. Rund um den Ort gibt es viel zu entdecken. Den Wasserlauf des orbieu, der zum Baden einlädt ,den Ort Lagrasse (eine der 100 "plus beau villages" Frankreichs) mit seiner imposanten Abtei. Die Chateaux de Quéribus und Peyrepertuse, sowie die Festungsstadt Carcassonne. Bis zum Meer ist es ein Stück zu fahren, jedoch gibt es in Leucate einen wunderschönen Strand in einer traumhaften Bucht.
Der kleine weniger als 50 m entfernte Supermarché hat alles nötigste was man braucht.

In diesem verwunschenen, äußerst liebevoll ausgestatteten, typisch französchischem Landhaus haben wir grade 2 super schöne Wochen verbracht. Es war für uns alles perfekt: die persönliche Begrüßung bei unserer Ankunft, die ausführlichen Details und Tipps (von der Müllentsorgung über die Weineinkaufsempfehlungen bis hin zu Unternehmungen in der näheren und entfernten Umgebung) und auch wirklich super nette Nachbarn in Nachbarhaus - es war alles sooo schön. Schade dass man so selten Urlaub hat. Wir erinnern uns gerne an die schöne Zeit in Camplong mit dem tollen Schwimmbad, dem netten Epicerie-Besitzer, der fröhlichen Dame von der Post,.... zurück und sagen Dankeschön, dass wir sogar noch einen Tag länger bleiben konnten.
