In winter, Constance is an ideal starting point for many ski resorts in the Allgäu, in Austria and in Switzerland.
Holiday destination
Constance is situated right on Lake Constance and is perfect for beach holidays, with a wide range of water sports options. There are also cultural offerings (theatres, museums, cinemas) as well as a wide variety of cuisine, a lively pub culture thanks to the university and the technical college and the Spitalkellerei winery. Alternatively, there are opportunities for excursions and hiking around Lake Constance. From Constance harbour, there are boat connections to Switzerland, Austria (Bregenz Festival) and many places on the lake.

Arrival from within Germany by car: take the Stuttgart-Singen motorway, B33 via Radolfzell, Allensbach, Constance
Arrival from Switzerland (Zurich): take the Zürich-Kreuzlingen motorway, from Chur, go along the lake via Romanshorn-Kreuzlingen, from Schaffhausen, go along the Rhine in the direction of Kreuzlingen/Constance
Arrival from Austria via Switzerland, Bregenz-St.Gallen-Romanshorn-Kreuzlingen or via Germany, Bregenz-Friedrichshafen-Meersburg car ferry to Constance

Sauber, hell, spacious, ruhige, gute Lage zwischen Stadt und See,
Equipment : alles ok, alles was man braucht.
Lebensmittelgeschäfte in der Nähe und guter Bäcker.

Die Wohnung ist ganz nett, wenn auch spartanisch eingerichtet.
Aber das Schlimmste: Die Matrazen sind in allen 3 Schlafzimmern eine wirkliche Katastrophe.
Als ich den Gastgeber darauf ansprach, erwiderte der, er könne ja nicht nur für mich 6 neue Matrazen kaufen.
Für uns hätten zwei neue Matrazen schon gereicht.
Die Matratzen sind gefühlt mindestens 15 Jahre alt und viel zu weich.
Keinerlei Unterstützung des Rückens.
Wir sind beide schlank, dennoch: Matratzen sind unzumutbar !!
Ich musste nach 2 Nächten auf die Couch umziehen für 8 Nächte (Kühlschrankgeräusche inklusive).
Das finde ich überhaupt nicht in Ordnung !

Die Ferienwohnung ist also spartanisch und ohne Atmosphäre eingerichtet? Sie sind der erste der sich darüber beschwert hat. Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, es ist alles vorhanden, beides ist im Übrigen auch Geschmackssache. Bei Ihrer Ankunft hat Ihnen die Wohnung noch gefallen.
Sie waren bisher auch der Einzige der sich über die Matratzen beklagt hat, dann kann davon ausgegangen werden dass diese so schlecht nicht sind. Und es stimmt, ich war nicht bereit für Sie neue Matratzen zu kaufen (unsere Matratzen werden zum gegebenen Zeitpunkt immer ersetzt). Ich habe noch versucht, mit einer anderen Matratze Abhilfe zu schaffen, diese haben Sie nicht einmal ausprobiert.
Ich hoffe Sie finden das nächste Mal eine für Sie besser passende Unterkunft.
