40 km east of Genoa, Chiavari is a beautiful old town 20 km from Portofino. It has a daily market in the old square (10 mins walk). Cinque Terre National Park 5 miles of rocky shore, thousands of km dry stone terraces cultivated with vines along the dramatic coast.
Many less famous but equally beautiful marked trails to explore from Portofino National Park to Sestri Levante - all nearby!
Do not miss Santa Margherita, Zoagli and Portofino National Park. One week's holiday is too short if you plan also a trip to Tuscany (2.3 hours away)
