Moulin d’Ibure is an ancient water mill near the Atlantic coast only 30km East of Biarritz. It is situated in the village Bardos, riparian to the river Lihoury and surrounded by a vast garden. The house “Maison Ibure” is the former dwelling place of the miller. On three floors it provides a kitchen and a livingroom with exit to the South terrace and 4 doublerooms each with own bathroom. They are bright and furnished tastefully. In the kitchen you find all you need for cooking and enjoy your meals at a table set nicely. The garden will impress you with old plane trees, abundantly flowered shrubs and subtropical plants. Here you find quiet places to read a book or lounge in the sun. Children love playing here and splashing in the small river.

The property Moulin d’Ibure is imbedded in the paradisiacal hilly foreland of the Pyrenees. The fantastic view of the mountains and the Atlantic sea will overwhelm you regarding them from the out-look in Bardos. You easily reach the sea side and the mountains. At the coast you find lovely bays and long beaches. In the back country you can discover picturesque Basque villages. In Bayonne and Saint Jean de Luz a walk through the historic city centre is worthwhile. Also the vibrant Spanish cities San Sebastian, Pamplona and Bilbao are not far. It might be difficult choosing among all the attractions and the holiday might be too short to discover all.
To fully enjoy vacation at Moulin d’Ibure with its gorgeous surrounding and variety of excursion places a car is indispensable. Therefore a lot of guest will come with their own.
Yet a flight combined with car hire is an attractive alternative, because there are a lot of favourable offers: depending on your departure airport to Biarritz (half an hour drive to Moulin d’Ibure), Pau (1 hour), Lourdes (about 1,5 hours), Bordeaux and Bilbao (about 2 hours), Toulouse (about 2,5 hours) and Santander (about 3 hours). There are direct flights to Biarritz with Ryan Air from London, Edinburgh and Dublin This way you can arrive in short time stress-free and the long way is worthwhile even for a short holiday.
