    The traditional village Mirthios sits above the bay of Plakias and the Lybian sea, where you have a fantastic view to the environment (olive groves, mountains, Kotsifos and canyon). Four restaurants can be reached by foot in about 5 minutes, they are all famous for their traditional kitchen. A minimarket is also in this area. More restaurants, fish tavernas, Cafes, fruit markets, beach bars and clubs for entertainment are in the touristy Plakias 2,5 km away. Many beautfiul sandy beaches like Plakias, Foteinari, Souda, Damnoni, Amoudi, Skoinaria and so on can be reached after a distance of 2,5 km - 5 km.

    Recommended by plane or ferry to Heraklion or Chania. The hire car from the airport can be booked by us.

    Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Villa Aretousa. Altes Steinhaus im griechischen Stil, sehr herzliche Gastgeber, haben alle 2 Tage etwas griechisches zum Essen gebracht, war köstlich!!! Wir liebten den Pool, den Aussenbereich und die Aussicht der Villa. Das Dorf selber ist klein und schön, hat viele Tavernen, die man probieren muss. Yannis der Besitzer gibt einem gerne Auskunft und hilft weiter. Vielen Dank!!!!!!!

    Die Villa Aretousa, ist ein Schmuckstück! Wundervoll im griechischem Stil eingerichtet und gleichzeitig modern! Es ist alles da was man braucht und noch viel mehr. Vom Balkon und der Terasse hat man einen fantastischen Blick aufs Meer und die Bucht von Plakias. Schöner geht es kaum. Die Besitzer sind sehr liebe und aufmerksame Einheimische, die uns oft mit besonderen kulinarischen Überraschungen beglückt haben. Ganz toll! Das Dorf ist klein und übersichtlich jeder findet auch hier eine ausgezeichnete Taverne die zu ihm passt, oder man probiert sich durch. Wir mögen diese Dorf sehr! Ein Dankeschön auch an die Familie Kirmaier die alles für uns im Vorfeld wunderbar organisiert hat. Herzliche Grüße! Katrin und Uwe
