A jeu de boules court that can be lit at night will allow gorgious competions. Also suited to play table tennis. Children will love the swings, sand box and various toys. For lovers of brocantes or vide Greniers we have the best at Cannet des Maures at saturday morning. We are in the mids of wines and many possibilities for tastings.
Holiday destination
This charming vacation house is situated in the Lorgues area of the Provence Verte. The immediate surroundings are intimate with wonderful views on mountains of the Verdon, forests and vineyards. The village of Le Thoronet is known for its magnificent Abbey and Lorgues for its huge provencial market. You find many typical Provencal villages in the immediate surroundings. The nearby Plains of the Maures are world famous for its geology, plants, pins parasols and its unique species of turtles.
Getting there
The vacation house is situated at 2km from the centre of the village Le Thoronet and only 6km from the toll roads A8/A57 can be reached: • By car, via A8-A57, exit Le Cannet des Maures, direction Le Thoronet via the D17 at a distance of about 6km • By train, the TGV (super high speed train, direction Nice) railway station at Les Arcs-sur-Argens at 20km. • By plane, the airports of Toulon/Hyères at 65km, Nice at 95km and Marseille/Provence at 120km. You will recieve a personal and warm welcome. All beds will be prepared like in a 5 star hotel.

Host informationWe are 2 scientists, now retired. We bought the house in 2003, renovated the house then with a greater extention in 2010. We have 2 daughters , 4 grandsons and a grand daughter. The house is in particular suitable for holidays with families like ours. The seperate apartment gives extra possibilities when privacy is welcom in a group of people.

Smooth arrival procedure. The large and beautiful house has an authentic Provençal ambiance. It is a true family home, not a bland vacation rental. Good bedrooms with comfortable mattrasses. Well furnished with plenty of chairs, sunbeds and shades. Abundantly provided with house-, kitchen-, pool-, beach utensils and books, music, toys and games. Rural and uncrowded setting with total privacy and within easy distance of the coast and gorges. Different terraces so everybody could find a quiet spot when so desired. The large and clean pool provided endless fun and coolness. Housekeeping couple very helpfull and unobtrusive. As clearly stated due to stairs not suited for people with mobility issues. Advice: one bedroom not air conditioned which attracts more mosquitos. Bring a net. House highly recommended

We were two Swiss families with a total of 3 adults / 4 kids (between 6 and 14) on holidays for 2 weeks. The house and its surroundings are simply fantastic ! A little cozy place here and there. A huge veranda and perfect size pool for young and old. SItting together, playing a round of cards, drinking a glass of wine and playing petanque in the evening just made this a great vacation. In a 15 minute drive you will be able to visit a great provencale market in Lorgues. Beaches of St Raphael/Frejus are just about 45 minutes. And if one feels like shopping the beautiful city of Cannes is just an hour drive. Les Chenes Verts is perfectly equipped with all one may need during a vacation. The house is full of charme and atmosphere. One can literallly feel the passion the owners put into this over the years !
