In winter, snowshoe hikes and ski tours are also a draw. Manuela will organize for you to experience the winter wonderland from a horse-drawn sleigh.
In summer, our playground beckons with swings, a slide, and a large trampoline. - A garden grill and grill hut are right next door. - So there's plenty of fun for both young and old!
Holiday destination
At Langtaufers 'beim Gruber', you are surrounded by snow-capped 3000-meter peaks. It's 8.5 km to the Reschen Pass and Lake Reschen; the valley end at Melag is 1.5 km away.
You can start mountain hikes or even walks right from the front door, such as to the Melager Alm, to the Weißkugel hut, or to the hut "Atlantis of the Mountains".
Cross-country skiers can start on the snow-sure high-altitude trail to Melager Alm right from the front door, and for alpine skiing enthusiasts, it's a 15-minute drive to the Schöneben ski area.
Getting there
For many, we are the needle in the haystack; yet it's not that difficult to find us in the Upper Vinschgau: follow the Reschen Pass until you reach the center of Graun, then head up to Langtaufers. After exactly 8.5 km (take the driveway on the left at the Grub bus stop, then another 50 m up to "beim Gruber"), you will reach us in the high alpine region at 1850 in the Langtauferer Valley.
