Wildlife is abundant up here, and according to the Swedish Fishing Guide, the lake is the richest in fish in all of Sweden. To help you convince yourself, a rowboat is available for fishing. The rowboat is a short walk (approx. 500 meters) through the forest.
There are also two beautiful hiking trails, the Forsa Trail and the Pilgrimsleden, which you can hike and discover wonderful swimming spots. The nearest swimming spot with a sandy beach is just 300 meters away down by the lake.
The surrounding area also offers the opportunity to visit local museums or discover many interesting local food producers. Östersund is located approximately 45 kilometers from here and offers attractions such as the "Storsjöodjuret," the Swedish version of the Loch Ness Monster. It's difficult to get the monster to reveal itself, but at the Jamtli Museum, you can admire an embryo in a glass jar.
