The Masdascher Burgherrenweg is one of the dream loops in the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig path system and leads around Mastershausen. It was certified as a premium hiking trail in 2009.
A hiking tour to the “Geierlay” suspension rope bridge is also worthwhile. The Masdascher Burgherrenweg is the ideal starting point to reach the Geierlay on foot. Guided hikes around the Geierlay take place in October and November. Our fields and forests can also be explored by e-bike. There are also very extensive, attractive cycling and hiking trails here. We are only a few minutes walk from Hermann Scherer.
