Other recreational opportunities
Makkum Beach Resort Park features playgrounds and a miniature golf course. There is the option to ride a pedal boat or a kettcar as well as to rent e-bikes, bicycles, canoes or motorboats. Next to the reception there is a snack bar where you can also order bread rolls. The cheese market and the seal station are not far away.
Holiday destination
Cheese market in Alkmaar, seal station, Texel (by ferry), Workum is very nice for a walk, Amsterdam approx. 100 km, shopping facilities, water sports such as surfing, catamaran, kite surfing, Texel submarine viewing, Harlingen, Sneek and Workum nearby.
A larger sailing port and 2 smaller sailing ports in the village, in the village itself several restaurants, shops to stroll around, a big supermarket for daily shopping well arranged, almost everything you could ever need
Getting there
Coming from Olpe on the A45 towards Dortmund, then on the A2 towards Oberhausen/Arnhem then just straight on from Kampen, then towards Makkum approx. 370 km, a good 3.5 hours

Ein wunderschönes Haus am Wasser mit ruhiger gemütlicher Lage. Es war alles vorhanden, Fahrräder, Grill, Waschmaschine, Trockner, Sauna, Ofen, Kaffeemaschine, Fernseher und super bequeme kuschelige Betten. Ach und das BOOT erst! Ich als Bootsfahrneuling ohne Schein, war es eine tolle Erfahrung und hat extrem Spaß gemacht! Hätte ich doch nur meine Angelsachen mitgenommen....aber wir Buchen aufjedenfall wieder! Vielen Dank an die lieben Vermieter, sie sind sehr kooperativ, Nett und Hilfsbereit. Wir sind mit einem Hund angereist. Der Strand war für Hunde derzeit nicht zugänglich, als Ausweichmöglichkeit gibt es die Hundewiese mit Badestellen. Wir empfehlen jedem die Unterkunft weiter, dass war für uns auch das Erste mal das wir ein Haus gemietet haben! Danke für die tolle Erfahrung Familie Dörner und bis bald.

"Wir sind absolut sprachlos! Die Villa Romantika im Beach Resort Makkum ist das Paradies auf Erden! Die liebevolle Einrichtung ist einfach traumhaft, jedes Detail ist mit so viel Liebe und Sorgfalt gestaltet. Die Sauberkeit ist makellos, wir haben uns von Anfang an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Und die Sauna... oh, die Sauna ist einfach himmlisch! Wir haben uns dort so entspannt und erholt gefühlt. Aber das Highlight war das Motorboot, das uns zur Erkundung der umliegenden Gewässer eingeladen hat! Wir haben die Natur aus einer neuen Perspektive gesehen. Wir können diese Villa wirklich jedem empfehlen, der Romantik und Entspannung sucht. Es war einfach perfekt! 5/5 würden wir wieder buchen!"
