Cassone di Malcesine is a small, quiet village right by the lake.
400 people live in this town, and tourism has nurtured the way of life of the locals. If you want to find the local people, you just need to head to its small harbor, a true meeting place for the country. The uniqueness of this town lies in the narrow alleys of the old town and the river known as the world's smallest "Aril." Even the great Austrian painter Gustav Klimt stopped and painted this place (1913).
Getting there
FROM THE NORTH:
Exit the Brenner Motorway at "Rovereto Sud - Lago di Garda Nord". Follow the signs towards Lake Garda until "Torbole", at the roundabout take the direction to "Malcesine", continue until Cassone (another 4 km). At the beginning of Cassone on the right side (towards the lake) you will find a parking lot and opposite is CASA GIARDINO.
FROM THE SOUTH:
Exit the Brenner Motorway at "Affi Lago di Garda Sud". Follow the signs towards Lake Garda until "Garda", at the roundabout turn right towards "Torri del Benaco", continue to "Brenzone" and further to "Cassone". Immediately at the end of Cassone on the left side (towards the lake) you will find a parking lot and next to it is CASA GIARDINO.

Phantastische Lage direkt am See, das ist aber leider auch schon alles! Spärlich ausgestattete Küche mit nur einem Topf, der noch nicht einmal für einen Gasherd geeignet ist (Griffe/Deckel werden heiß) und 2 ebensolchen Pfannen. Alle Kochgeschirre sind in einem miserablen Zustand. Die vordere kleine Herdplatte funktioniert erst gar nicht. Es gab keine normalen Messer, eine am Griff zerbrochene Schere und alltägliche Utensilien, die man zum Kochen benötigt, fehlten. Abgezählte Teller, Gläser und Tassen für 2 Personen. 1 kleines und 1 große Handtuch pro Person und 1 Geschirrtuch für eine ganze Woche, ebenso nur 3 Rollen Toilettenpapier. Die Stühle sowohl in der Küche als auch auf dem Balkon waren hart und unbequem, ebenso das Bett, das war hart wie ein Brett. Einige Mängel wurden dann nach Rücksprache behoben.
