Cancellation policy

Cancellation free of charge up to 28 days before departure and free travel cancellation due to regulations (e.g. ban on staying overnight due to Corona) up to 1 day before the date of arrival, otherwise travel cancellation according to the German Tourism Association (DTV) applies: a) Before the start of the rental period, the renter can withdraw from the rental agreement by making a written declaration to the lessor. The time of receipt of the declaration of withdrawal by the landlord is decisive. b) If the tenant withdraws from the rental contract, he has to pay flat-rate compensation for the expenses already incurred by the landlord and the lost profit in the following amount: Cancellation up to the 27th day before the start of the rental period: 20% of the rental price Cancellation up to the 14th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price thereafter and in the event of no-show 90% of the rental price c) The tenant reserves the right to provide evidence that the landlord suffered no or significantly less damage. d) When withdrawing from the contract, the tenant can name a replacement tenant who is willing to take his place in the existing contractual relationship. The landlord can object to the entry of the third party if this appears economically or personally unreliable. If a third party enters into the rental contract, he and the previous tenant are jointly and severally liable to the landlord for the rental price and the additional costs arising from the entry of the third party. e) In good faith, the landlord has to rent an unused accommodation to someone else and has to deduct the saved accommodation against the cancellation fees claimed by him. The tenant is recommended to take out travel cancellation insurance.

Holiday destination

Lohrhaupten offers a variety of restaurants, a bakery, a small grocery store and a butcher with it's special home meat products. In the village of Lohrhaupten you can find a public pool with a huge slide and facilities to relax and feel well. A playground and skating area is in town. Everything is really easy to get to. Only a few minutes walk or bus ride. If you have to do the big grocery shopping you can go to the neighbour town called Frammersbach (6km away). This town has lots of stores and shopping to offer. Lohrhaupten is great for hiking. The area has a lot of forests and you can find many marked and suggests hiking and biking trails.

Getting there

If you have a gps: Usually the gps puts "Kirchweg" as final destination. However this street is very small and steep and even in summer really hard to drive through. In the winter with snow it's not possible to drive on this street. Please do not take that road and take the "Gelnhäuser Tal" to "Steinau" at the intersection in front of the church/sparkasse (bank).

Wij, een gepensioneerd echtpaar uit Brielle(Nederland) zijn door de fam. Mehrling heel hartelijk ontvangen. We kregen een goede uitleg waar wat te vinden en over de werking van alle apparaten. Het huis is licht, ruim en van goede kwaliteit. Handdoeken en beddengoed is ruim voorhanden. Dat geldt ook voor de keuken, kruiden, olie, thee, koffiebonen met een heel goede koffiemachine. Er is zelfs een broodsnijmachine! We zijn gewoon heel enthousiast over dit huis. We hebben hier een heerlijke week gehad. Zwemmen, wandelen en van het uitzicht genieten vanaf het zeer ruime balkon. We komen al heel lang in de Spessart, maar een plek als deze overtreft alles.

Wir, ein Rentnerehepaar mit einem kleinen Hund, waren jetzt zum 2. Mal 10 Tage hier, diesmal aber im Juni/Juli - Hochsommer!!! Wir hatten erneut einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und konnten auch die 3 sehr heißen Tagen ganz entspannt verbringen. Die Lage hoch über Lohrhaupten, die reine Luft, die unmittelbare Nähe zum Wald und die sommergerechte Ausstattung des Anwesens machten so die Tage und auch die Nächte zu erholsamen Urlaubstagen. Eine Sommernacht auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den stillen beleuchteten Ort und den satten Sternenhimmel ist unbezahlbar!!! Es fehlt an nichts, alles so wie man es sich auch zu Hause wünscht. Die Vermieterfamilie ist äußerst liebenswert, alle Wünsche und Fragen werden sofort umgesetzt. Ein Winteraufenthalt ist schon in Planung!!! Liebe Grüße Oskar und Marion K l ü h
