This is a small 34 sqm apartment in the middle of Venice. The apartment is a former Ufficio, the office of an ancient 18th century palazzo called Ca'Miracoli. The Palazzo got its name from its proximity to the famous Renaissance Church of Saint Mary of Miracles.
Because it was an office, it has a second separate entrance to a small lane. This is now the main entrance that you use to access the apartment. It is in Calle Maggioni. The apartment is on the ground floor. You enter it via a gallery. The double bed is hidden in the gallery and slides in and out. Next to it is a rolling storage space for the bedding.
The small bathroom has a shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin.
The kitchen is fully equipped.

Walking through the districts, the charm of this beautiful city unfolds, with contrasts between light and shade, splendour and morbid beauty.

The apartment is located in a very quiet, small side street. Campo Santa Maria Nova is nearby. It is a 5-minute walk to the pier for vaporetto Line 1 Ca d' Oro on the Grand Canal. In 8 minutes you are on the Rialto Bridge and at St. Mark's Square.
Arriving by plane, train or car
From the airport you can use Alilaguna, a private boat company, to get to Fondamente Nove. Costs 16 euros per tour.
Arrival by car
The best place to park on the mainland is in the Marive “Parking and Ferry” car park in San Giuliano. Attention: the car park is not open 24 hours. From there, the transportation company Alilaguna runs hourly ferries to Fondamente Nove.(10 euros one way). The boat docks at Fondamente Nove further west, where you will cross a large bridge on the left and after 300 metres turn right into Calle dei Buranelli.
Arriving by train
Train journey to Venice Santa Lucia. Then take the vaporetto no. 4.2 or 5.2 in front of the train station (Ferrovia vaporetto pier) to Fondamente Nove in the north of Venice. Single ticket costs 9.50 euros.
After getting off at Fondamente Nove, turn left, cross the bridge and then after about 300 metres take a narrow lane on the right called Calle dei Buranelli.
The lane then becomes Calle del Fumo and Calle Pestrin. You come to the Campiello Stella, a small square that connects to Campiello Widmann. Here you go through the very narrow lane called Calle Widmann and cross the Widmann bridge, which will take you to Calle Larga Widmann. You continue on to the Santa Maria Nova square. On the left you will already be able to see the church of Chiesa dei Miracoli, but continue straight-ahead at a slight angle through a small lane to the Campiello dei Santa Maria Nova, a small side square. At the end of this square, turn left into Calle dei Miracoli and then right into Calle Maggioni.
You will see the dark green entrance to the apartment on the left.
The key to the apartment will either be in a key box next to the entrance or will be sent to you.

After visiting Venice several times during the Venice Biennales and staying by the sea on the Lido, we grew so fond of Venice that we bought this small apartment. We are aware of Venice's problems and feel responsible for preserving this beautiful city in all of its uniqueness. We ask our guests to tell us what connects them to the city- what draws them here.
