Turin with the Po and its historic center, completely renovated for the 2006 Winter Olympics, with its many museums, palaces and churches is worth a visit. As you drive through the region you will also come across many old towns and villages, often with beautiful churches. In addition, the region offers many interesting golf courses, beautifully situated in the hills and opportunities for quiet walks and active cycling tours. Finally, it's less than an hour to the beautiful Italian Riviera for a day at the beach the Italian way.
