Various ski lifts are in the area and cross-country ski trails start in front of the door.
It is tempting to visit the toboggan leisure adventure park Sankt Englmar (5 minutes by car), the Waldgipfelweg, with its special wine night market in winter, (8 minutes by car), and the “Edelwies” amusement park (13 minutes by car).
The high ropes course, the 4D Arena and the pony farm can be reached on foot directly in the neighboring forest.
Holiday destination
The climatic health resort of Sankt Englmar in the Bavarian Forest offers much more than just good air. In the immediate vicinity there are hiking trails, ski slopes and a climbing forest. The forest treetop path, the 4D arena and the Xperium are also worth a visit.

Dieses Haus lässt keine Wünsche offen!
Von der ersten Minute haben wir uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Sei es der gemütliche Wohnbereich mit flackerndem Kamin, die voll ausgestattete Küche, die kuscheligen Schlafzimmer mit äußerst guten Matratzen und natürlich die tolle Sauna - alles perfekt, um einen entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen.
Auch unser Hund war nicht nur erlaubt, sondern super herzlich willkommen.
Familie Sperber hat uns bei Ankunft sehr herzlich begrüßt und viele nette Tipps gegeben.
Gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge nach Straubing, Deggendorf und Regensburg, Wanderungen kann man direkt am Haus beginnen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie Gaststätten sind in der näheren Umgebung.

Wie der Titel schon beschreibt, hatten wir einen super Aufenthalt in dem Ferienhaus.
Das Haus an sich ist super gemütlich, warm und bestens ausgestattet.
Wir haben jeden Tag gekocht und uns hat es an keinen Küchenutensilien gefehlt.
Die Sauna ist neu und heizt einem richtig ein!
Insgesamt merkt man einfach, dass auch die "kleinen" Sachen in der Hütte durchdacht sind man seinen Aufenthalt genießen kann.
Die Lage der Hütte fanden wir auch ideal.
Man kann von der Hütte aus mehrere Wanderungen machen und ist nach ein paar Metern schon im Wald.
Der Edeka in Sankt Engelmar ist bestens ausgestattet und in 4 min. mit dem Auto zu erreichen.
Verschiedene Restaurants, Cafés und ein Bäcker sind Fußläufig erreichbar.
Die Vermieter sind super freundlich und man fühlt sich direkt Willkommen.
