The stylish cottage is nestled in a grove of trees with garden and two terrasses on a property of nearly 3000m2.
The conservatory invites you to look over the garden and birch trees to the Vosges. If you like to cook, you will appreciate the 'Rosières Bocuse' stove in the kitchen and serve your meals on stylish table setting.
In the salon, you can enjoy a cosy evening by the wood fire in the French 'Bodin' oven.
The open, adjoining bedroom with a large bed (bedroom 1: bed 180x200 cm) looks out into the fig tree in the garden. And with a bit of luck, the sun will greet you in the morning.
The separate cosy bedroom with a Queensize-bed (bedroom 2: bed 140x200 cm) has direct access to the bathroom with shower and toilet. The bathroom can be entered through a second door from the hallway. If the summer rooms are used, bedroom 2) automatically becomes a connecting room!
**SUMMER season: The rooms in the summer annex can only be used from May to September and can therefore accommodate up to 6 people in the house (note: **WINTER season only up to 4 people!). In the summer rooms in the annex of teh house, the floor-to-ceiling windows and the direct access to the garden provide an immediate closeness to nature. Two country house beds (bedroom 3: 2x90x200 cm) and spacious closets offer stylish comfort. An arched passage leads into the salon of the summer rooms, where you can sit in the cozy seating area with a two-seater sofa and a wicker chair or at the desk behind the large window fronts as if in the garden.
When sleeping in the summer room, you may hear the noises of cat or marten paws on the roof at night! When booking the summer room, the living and kitchen areas of the house are available as usual!
Outdoor games are available in the garden: Viking chess and cornhole as throwing games, lawn tennis and badminton with rackets and balls. A hammock can be stretched between two trees and used in the shade on sunny days or in the evening sun.
The carport offers space for one car or two motorcycles. The driveway has space for up to two additional cars. Bicycles can be stored in the garden house upon request. You can also rent a bike!
- Barrier: There is a step between some rooms in the house and annex!
- Season: The summer rooms in the annex (bedroom 3 and living room) are only available from May to September, because the extension is not insulated!
The bedroom 2) automatically becomes a connecting room.
- Wood fire: At temperatures below 10 degrees it may be necessary to use the oven for additional heating in the house.
- WiFI: Connection in DSL quality is available via a mobile router in the winter garden (200 GB), which can be reached by the kitchen and the living-room or placed somewhere else. Data volumes above 200 GB can be made available upon request for a fee.
- For electric heating, heating costs above € 14 per day will be charged. Proof of daily consumption according to the edf application (électricité de France) can be provided upon request.
Please note: The use of the heating beyond the usual kWh-consumption is billed above €14.-/ day. The electricity provider assorts daily summaries that are available if necessary.

The cottage is located in one of the hamlets of the sprawling village of Taintrux (approx. 1.000 residents) in the Grand Est region. In the centre of town, next to the town hall, there is a restaurant, a bakery, and an electric charging station. Sunday mass is held in the church once a month (regional paper with mass schedule is available).
Culture: Concerts are held irregularly in the church of Taintrux and Sunday mass is held here once a month. The local potter Thiébaut Chagué is internationally known and sells beautiful clay (https://messumslondon.com/product/stoneware-thiebaut-chague/)
The infrastructure of Saint-Dié (discounters and hypermarchés) can be reached in 10 minutes and the mountains of La Bresse/Gérardmer/Hohneck in 30 to 45 minutes. The immediate vicinity of the Kemberg forest offers direct access to hiking and mountain bike trails (books and maps of the region are available in the house).

Mein Herzensplatz befindet sich in Taintrux - in knapp 2 Stunden fahre ich aus meiner Stadtwohnung in Saarbrücken regelmäßig in mein französisches Landhaus in den Vogesen. Von meinem Vater kraftvoll und kreativ umgebaut und eingerichtet, habe ich mir das Haus in den Monaten der Renovierung und Ausstattung mehr und mehr zu eigen gemacht. So wurde das ruhig und direkt am Waldrand gelegene Cottage schließlich mit „SUZAN du Bois d“Argent" benannt, als Haus auf dem Land am "Silbernen Wald". Denn die rauschenden Bäume sind von Flechten überzogen und funkeln silbrig im einfallenden Licht. Nun ist alles bereit - für meine und Eure Auszeiten: GENIESSEN in Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit an diesem Ort möchte ich mit Euch teilen. Hier tönen Bäume im Wäldchen, duftet Holz im Ofen und strahlen Sterne in der Nacht. Die Vogesen locken, der Hausberg lädt zum Wandern ein, der Garten lässt Träumen, der Wintergarten Durchatmen!
