We highly recommend trips to the Piedmontese capital of Turin and the metropolis of Milan.
You should also definitely make trips to Lake Maggiore.

By car: Take the A4 Milano-Torino highway, exit at Chivasso est, direction Asti.
By train: Chivasso station, located between Milan and Turin, then take a bus or taxi to Casalborgone.
By plane: Turin Airport (TRN - 1 hour away) or Milan (MXP - 1.5 hours away).
