Holiday destination
The Casa Irene lies on smooth hills, covered with wineyards, 2km outside the small rural town Nizza Monferrato, in the middle of the famous Barbera Wine region. In the vicinity are the wellknown cities of Asti, Alessandria, Alba (white truffels) and Acqui Terme with its hot sulphur fountains (baths). Torino, the regional capital is worthwile a journey (Filmmuseum). The region is also full of marvelous archtitecture from the middle ages and the baroque era.

Wir waren nun bereits zum 4. Mal in der Ferienwohnung und nach 4 Jahren Abstinenz wiederum begeistert. Die Wohnung hat weiter einen sehr hohen Standard und es fehlt an nichts. Die Lage ist einmalig mit tollem Blick über die Weinberge aber nur ca. 3km von Nizza Monferrato mit seinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt. Überall freundliche Menschen viele sprechen mittlerweile Englisch und die anderen begeistern durch Ihre Bemühungen zu helfen. Ein Landstrich mit wenig Touristen daher noch authentisch. Und für Gourmets sowieso ein MUSS. Was kann man hier toll essen zu sehr fairen Preisen. Die Wohnung ist für all das der perfekte Ausgangspunkt. Supernette Hausmeister (Mariola und Alberto) kümmern sich um alles rund ums Haus. Zudem gibt es von den Vermietern viele Tipps für Einkaufen/Essen gehen oder zu Weingütern.

Bereits seit vielen Jahren kommen wir in die Casa Irene. Alle Wohnungen sind sehr hochwertig und ansprechend eingerichtet. Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und ruhig gelegen. Der sorgfältig gewartete Pool lädt zum Schwimmen und zur Entspannung ein. Von der Terrasse aus kann man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Hügellandschaft mit den umliegenden Dörfern genießen. Ausflugsziele, wie Canelli, Asti, Alba, Barbaresco und Barolo, sind sehr gut erreichbar. Mit einem Besuch von Weingütern und gemütlichen Restaurants vergeht der Urlaub leider wie im Flug.
