Holidays in the heart of Germany - With a rich history that dates all the way back to 1253, the historic Malberg noble estate sits in a spot that's surrounded by orchards and hidden away in the low mountain landscape of hilly northern Hesse.
A project to breathe new life into the old Forester's Lodge from 1964 was completed in 2022. We've furnished the rooms the way we'd like to find them if we were going on holiday there ourselves and have filled them with many lovingly chosen details so you'll feel totally at ease while you're staying here.

The accommodation is far enough away from any neighbours but close enough to such towns as the half-timbered medieval city of Korbach and the attractive town of Bad Arolsen that local princes once called home. You can reach a number of tourist attractions in not much more than half an hour. These include the Edersee reservoir; the Kellerwald low mountain range; the Twistesee reservoir with its lido; the many palaces, castles and museums in the local area; such lively hubs as the towns of Willingen and Winterberg im Sauerland; and also Kassel, an international city of culture.
