In the surrounding area, you can visit Sloten, Lemmer, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, or Sneek. In the Gaasterland forest, you can enjoy wonderful hikes or take a beautiful bike ride. On the Slotermeer, Fluessenmeer, or Morra, you can go on a boat tour or take the whole family on a boat trip across the IJsselmeer from Stavoren to Enkhuizen. There are also several nice opportunities in the area to go on a canoe trip, visit museums, or playgrounds for the children.
In the villages of Balk and Oudemirdum, there are some shops, restaurants, pubs, churches, banks, and you have the option to rent bicycles. Pets are not allowed. This romantic holiday apartment is a great address for a lovely vacation.
