In Stavoren, located 1-2 kilometers away from your holiday apartment, you will find at the old harbor, among other things, "das Frauchen von Stavoren," the symbol of the medieval legend about the mysterious decline of Stavoren after a wealthy past. Stavoren boasts a magnificent sandy beach on the IJsselmeer coast. The surroundings of Stavoren are particularly suitable for water sports enthusiasts, hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers. From Stavoren, there are opportunities for cozy excursions to 11 cities, such as Workum, Hindeloopen, or Sneek. On a nice day, a boat trip to Enkhuizen (Zuiderzee Museum, Fairy Tale Forest), a bike ride through the Gaasterland forests, or simply lounging on one of the beautiful beaches is definitely worth the effort.
