The surrounding area offers charming towns to visit such as Lemmer, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, or Sneek. In the Gaasterland forest, you can enjoy splendid hikes or delightful bike rides. On the Fluessenmeer or the Morra, you can take a boat tour and discover Friesland from the water. Taking the ferry across the IJsselmeer from Stavoren to Enkhuizen is a fun activity for the whole family. Additionally, there are several interesting museums and playgrounds for children in the vicinity. In the village of Koudum, you'll find shops and have the opportunity to rent bicycles or boats.
