The coasts of the Ionian Sea are still open and unspoilt. The expansive dune beaches are unique with fragrant maquis and offer pure relaxation at any time of year! You practically have the beaches all to yourself, especially in the low season.
Holiday destination
The holiday home is situated in an optimal location on the edge of the village of Uggiano Montefusco. Nestled in olive groves and flowery meadows, wonderfully quiet and still close to shopping.
The Ionian Sea at Campomarino with its lovely dune beaches is reachable in approx. 10 min. by car.
Manduria, our small, historical district town has a beautiful shopping mile as well as a picturesque old town with many small, atmospheric restaurants ranging from rustic to elegant.
The Apulian cuisine would have elicited a satisfied sigh from Lucullus himself. It is diverse, light and imaginative, and the well-known "Primitivo di Manduria" is at home here.
Salento is a treasure trove for explorers: all spectacular excursion destinations like Lecce, Gallipolli, Alberobello etc. ... are not far away and make for great day trips.
The rural charm and the beautiful, unspoilt coast are the special things about the region on the Ionian Sea. The maquis-covered dune beaches of Campomarino and San Pietro in Bevagna are long and have fine sand.
Our region is not a posh area. The beautiful, Ionian coast is therefore still completely unspoilt and attracts mostly individual holidaymakers.
If you want to experience the authentic, lively but endearing southern Italy, this is the place for you.
Getting there
Arrival from southern Germany via Austria, the Brenner motorway, towards Ancona, Pescara, Bari, Taranto, Manduria.

By air: Bari Airport (130 km) or Brindisi (50 km)
