Holiday destination
The house is located in Villapark Residentie Texel, a peaceful, child friendly and green park right on the edge of the dunes – ideally situated close to cycling paths and the beach. It’s the perfect starting point for an active and relaxing holiday.
Guests can make use of the facilities at the nearby holiday park De Krim – the best-equipped park on Texel. It offers several restaurants and a supermarket. Bowling, laser tag, a climbing park, bike rental, golf courses, and the swimming pool are available for an additional fee.
Right from the park, just around the corner from the house, cycling paths lead into the dunes and nearby nature reserves – perfect for walking, cycling, and birdwatching. Sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy, with options like golfing, skydiving, and gliding available in the immediate area. At the beach, you can not only sunbathe and swim, but also go fishing, (catamaran) sailing, kitesurfing, power kiting, surf kayaking, and stand-up paddling.
Just five minutes away, the pedestrian ferry to Vlieland departs – a unique experience that includes 4x4 dune safari transport.
Elsewhere on the island, you can visit sheep and cheese farms, pick-your-own gardens, and even vineyards. For all ages, there are hands-on activities such as crafts, DIY workshops, and cooking with local ingredients. A visit to Ecomare is also highly recommended, offering mudflat excursions for young and old. In Oudeschild, the TX10/TX20 boats offer trips for shrimp fishing and seal watching. The range of activities varies by season.
