Cancellation policy
Cancellation of the rental contract
1. IGW reserves the right to withdraw from the rental agreement in the event that the deposit, balance payment and security deposit agreed in the rental agreement are not received by the tenant in due time to the account of IGW (bank details according to the rental agreement). Furthermore, the lessor has the right to withdraw from the contract in the event that the rented property cannot be used for exceptional reasons (storm damage, etc.). Claims going beyond the reimbursement of the rental price (e.g. for damages) are excluded. 2.
2. The termination of the rental contract by the Hirer must be made in writing. In the event of cancellation, IGW will charge the Hirer a lump sum of 230 EUR to compensate for the additional expenses incurred. The renter is allowed to prove that IGW had costs for the processing of a lower amount. In addition, the Hirer must pay for the damage incurred by the Owner as a result of the cancellation. IGW will attempt to re-let the rental period. If the complete period is successfully re-let on the same terms as the cancelled agreement, the tenant will not incur any costs other than the cost of processing. If IGW is unsuccessful in re-letting all or part of the cancelled period, IGW will charge the Hirer a liquidated damages charge as follows. A damage lump sum of 30% of the rental amount will be charged if the tenant cancels the booking in the period after conclusion of the rental agreement up to 10 weeks before arrival. If the tenant cancels the booking in the period between 10 and 4 weeks before arrival, a damage lump sum of 60% of the rental amount will be charged. If the booking is cancelled within the period of 28 days up to the date of arrival, the Hirer is obliged to pay the full rental amount, less any own expenses saved by the Rental Firm (a flat rate of 5% of the rental amount). With IGW's consent, the Tenant may procure a replacement tenant who will assume the rights and obligations of the Tenancy Agreement. IGW recommends taking out travel cancellation insurance just in case.

Holiday destination
The representative villa under thatch "La Mer" is located in Groß Schwansee, approx. 20 min. from Lübeck and a good hour from Hamburg international airport. You live in a dreamlike and quiet location in the immediate vicinity of Schlossgut Schwansee with its Michelin-rated restaurant. The kilometre-long free Baltic Sea beach, which is pleasantly empty even in high summer, can be reached in less than 5 minutes on foot. The sound of the sea can be heard from most rooms.
Getting there
You reach Groß Schwansee about 30km east of Lübeck and about 18km north of the A20 directly on the Baltic Sea and only accessible via a stub road. To the airport Hamburg you need about an hour and to the airport Lübeck with some domestic and European connections a good half hour, the nearest ICE station is also in Lübeck about 35km away.

Beim Eintritt in die Villa "La Mer" hat man nicht das Gefühl, in ein Ferienhaus zu kommen. Der erste Eindruck ist bereits äußerst angenehm, rundum edel und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Später merkt man auch, dass es in der Küche an nichts fehlt. Zum entspannen gibt es nicht nur Plätze im Haus, inklusive des Indoorpools, sondern auch der schöne Garten und die große Dachterrasse waren wunderbar. Nicht zu vergessen sind die Spaziergänge an einem fast einsamen Strand an der Ostsee. Ein Glas Rotwein am Kamin lässt einen Abend dann angenehm ausklingen. Wir waren zu zweit hier und haben eine wunderbar entspannende Zeit verbracht. Dieses Haus bietet sich aber wirklich an, auch mit Freunden ein schöne gemeinsame Zeit zu verbringen. In jedem Fall, wir kommen wieder, so oder so.

Top Villa; sehr ruhig gelegen! Kurze Strecke mit dem Hund an den menschenleeren Strand. Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Privates Klavierkonzert war auch dieses Mal wieder ein Hochgenuss! Villa mit allem ausgestattet, es fehlt wirklich an nichts! Hauseigener beheizter Pool natürlich ein Traum ! Umgebung sehenswert, wie die Steilküste von Boltenhagen. Das Carolinchen = ein ganz besonderer Zug; der Tigerpark und das Schmetterlingshaus. Interessant auch Outpost One, Star Wars in Dassow. Gross Schwansee und die Villa La Mer sind es wert immer wieder zu kommen! Lobenswert die Hausmeister und den Reinigungsdienst, denn die Villa ist absolut hochwertig ausgestattet und daher umso pflegeintensiver
