Other recreational opportunities
The Aktiv Card Südkärnten ("Active Card South Carinthia") gives our guests access to a wide range of leisure activities in the region. There are also numerous possible day trips out into nature and to various attractions, many of which children will also enjoy, e.g. the Minimundus miniature park, the Walderlebniswelt ("Forest Adventure World"), and the Obir Stalactite Caves, etc. Llama trekking is also possible in our area.
Holiday destination
Our house sits in very quiet, idyllic surroundings on the edge of the forest with a view of the magnificent Karawanks mountain range. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Lake Turner. It's 3 km to Lake Klopein. Numerous excursion destinations and leisure activities are located in the immediate vicinity. The region of southern Carinthia has 7 lakes and the Karawanks mountain range, making it ideal for both easy and challenging hikes.
The next larger city is Klagenfurt. Day trips to Ljubljana in Slovenia or Trieste and Graz are easily doable.
Getting there
If you're coming from the north via Salzburg, take the Tauern Autobahn (A10) to Villach, then take the Süd Autobahn; alternatively, if you're coming via Linz, take the Phyrn Autobahn (A9), then travel via St. Michael, Zeltweg, Obdach and the Süd Autobahn (A2)
If you're coming from the east, your best bet is via Vienna and Graz on the Süd Autobahn (A2)
If you're coming from the south, you can get to southern Carinthia via Laibach and the Karawanken Autobahn (A11) or via Udine and the Süd Autobahn (A2)
Carinthia Apartment Lake Turner and is easy to reach via the Süd Autobahn (A2). The nearest motorway exits are around 15 km away: Grafenstein EXIT 298, Völkermarkt West EXIT 289 and Völkermarkt Ost EXIT 278.
