Campanula Park
This small and tranquil park offers various facilities (for a fee). At the entrance, you'll find a convenient laundry service. Opposite, you can rent electric bikes for a day or longer. Within walking distance, you can swim in the indoor pool, relax in a real sauna, or play tennis and a round of mini-golf.
A medium-sized SPAR is a 10-minute walk away on Belkmerweg, selling fresh bread rolls every morning (April-October)!
Surroundings
Of course, you're here primarily for the sea, the beach, and the beautiful dunes. In spring, you'll be thrilled by the changing colors of the flower bulb fields. At the amusement park De Goudvis and the adventure playground Land van Fluwel, there are fun and active activities for the kids. And, of course, there are various small and cozy dining establishments.
We recommend Callantsoog, Schoorl, and Bergen, as well as Schagen and Alkmaar for a day trip, shopping, or to visit a museum or a good restaurant. And of course, a day trip with the ferry to Texel is absolutely fantastic. Visit the centrally located picturesque Den Burg and the entertaining and educational nature center Ecomare.
Getting there
From Amsterdam / Alkmaar:
Follow the A9 towards (Haarlem) Alkmaar - Den Helder.
At Alkmaar, take the Ring West - N9 exit towards Den Helder.
Leave (at the Alkmaar roundabout) the roundabout at the third exit and follow the direction to Den Helder (via N9).
Stay on course towards Den Helder, following along the North Holland Canal.
Turn left at Sint Maartensvlotbrug. You are now on Zeeweg.
Take the first road on the left. You are now on Belkmerweg.
