Cancellation policy
The rental agreement can be terminated by the tenant according to the following cancellation policies:
The following cancellation fees must be paid by the tenant if the rental agreement is terminated:
Cancellation up to 60 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the agreed rental price
Cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the rental period: 80% of the agreed rental price
Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the agreed rental price
A cancellation can only be made in writing. The decisive factor is the date the statement is received by the landlord. Relevant deadlines are set out in the rental contract. If the tenant terminates the stay early, the obligation to pay the full rental price remains.

Other recreational opportunities
In addition to the usual cultural program (cinema, concerts, festivals, street art, etc.), you can purchase art and crafts from all disciplines and by regional artists in small colorful cabanes (huts) in Boyardville and Le Chateau.
History enthusiasts will find plenty in the region to explore, including the famous Fort Boyard, the Citadelle in Chateau d'Oléron, or the Ile d'Aix, where Napoleon stayed after the Battle of Waterloo.
Cycling fans will enjoy the extensive network of bike paths that lead through old, wonderfully fragrant pine forests near the coast and into all the major towns. Two bicycles are available upon request, and additional bikes can be rented in the next village for about 12 - 15 Euro/day.
Supermarkets, weekly markets, and the nearest beach are less than 1 - 2 km away.
From personal experience, I can say: Definitely try land sailing. Being carried for kilometers over empty sand beaches by the wind is a fantastic feeling!
Holiday destination
The second largest island of France is nicknamed "la lumineuse" due to the light that refracts here in a unique way, attracting photographers from all over the world. The sandy beaches of the island are extensive, sometimes supervised by lifeguards - but even during the season, it is possible to find less crowded sections of the beach, so you can have a bit of privacy.
Getting there
I'm happy to help with planning your journey. Here's a brief overview:
The best way to travel to Ile d'Oléron is by car to be mobile on the spot.
The nearest airports are La Rochelle or Bordeaux (from there by train, for example, to Rochefort and then by bus to the island). For the last part from Dolus, you can arrange a pickup or order a taxi.
By train via Paris, you also travel to La Rochelle, Saintes or Rochefort and then by bus.

La Plume ist ein Ort der Ruhe, Entspannung und zum Wohlfühlen. Das ruhig gelegene Häuschen mit dem von Mauern umgebenen schattigen Garten bietet alles, was man zur Erholung braucht. Auf dem Feld nebenan äsen abends Rehe, auch ein Wiedehopfpaar hat uns besucht. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist an alles gedacht. Im Garten lädt der Essplatz unter der Schirmakazie und gute Liegestühle zum Verweilen ein. Zu den schönen wilden Stränden sind es 10 Minuten mit dem Rad, in den beschaulichen Ort Dolus mit allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 2 km. Die Insel bietet tolle Freizeitmöglichkeiten, u.a. 160 km Fahrradwege, und kulinarische Genüsse wie Fisch am Hafen von La Cotiniere und natürlich Austern. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war sehr angenehm und zuverlässig. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Durch das Eingangstor gelangt man direkt in den Garten des Hauses, der von keiner Seite aus eingesehen werden kann. Man ist in seinem eigenen Bereich und kommt sich vor wie in einem Märchen. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt, aber nicht akkurat, sondern idyllisch. In dem sehr sauberen Haus hat man alles, was man braucht. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und man merkt dass sich gekümmert wird. Eine kleine ausgestattete Küche, ein neues Badezimmer, ein kleines und ein großes Schlafzimmer. Ich habe hier einen wundervollen Urlaub verbracht und konnte zu 100% entspannen. Zum Strand sind es etwa 10-15 Minuten Fußweg. Mit dem extra dazu gemieteten Fahrrad (sehr zu empfehlen) kommt man überall gut hin. Ich fühlte mich wie in einer anderen Welt und würde sofort wieder hier Urlaub machen! Vielen Dank!
