You will be greeted by our lovingly and comfortably furnished holiday home Wasserperle with direct water access (4-5 persons)
The holiday home has two bedrooms, a living area with an open kitchen, a bathroom and a guest toilet, as well as a sauna on the 1st floor.
From the living room, you step out onto the terrace with an awning, wind protection, and a barbecue area.
Fish directly from your own private jetty or swim right outside your front door.
A canoe is available for your use – of course, you can also bring your own boat or jet ski to explore the Ijsselmeer (400m) or the many canals/grachten in the area. (Water depth in the park 50 - 80 cm)

The park features 3 playgrounds, a playfield for various activities, and a spacious miniature golf course. Go-karts, canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, electric boats, and SUPs can be rented in the park. Bicycles and e-scooters can be easily rented in the town.
The sandy beach is adjacent to the park and only a few hundred meters from the house – there are no tides here, but there is freshwater. The beach offers a wide range of water sports (surfing, catamaran sailing, kite surfing with corresponding training and rental services) providing extensive leisure opportunities. The shallow freshwater is also great for children to enjoy.
Right next to the park, there is a vast nature reserve and bird sanctuary as well as a very nice and large dog off-leash area with hiking trails and bodies of water, where dogs can frolic and swim to their heart's content.

From the nearby seaport of Harlingen, ship/day trips to the nearby islands of Texel, Vlieland, and Terschelling are possible.

Cancellation Guarantee:
If at the time of travel, Makkum Beach Resort, the province of Friesland, or the entire Netherlands should be locked down, we would not be able to fulfill our part of the contract "providing a holiday home". As a result, you would receive a refund of all your payments, provided you have not yet arrived.
Otherwise, the following conditions apply:
Up to 42 days before the arrival day, 50% of the invoice amount is due.
In case of a later cancellation, the full invoice amount is due.
Dear guests,
if a cancellation occurs, we will definitely find an amicable solution!
We will always strive to realize a substitute rental and in this case would charge a maximum of the shortfall and a flat rate of 50€. We would then waive the above-mentioned costs!!!
