In the heart of the Langhe wine-growing region, a UNESCO World Heritage site, just a few kilometers from the towns of Barolo, Monforte, and La Morra, lies the village of Novello perched on the crest of a hill. To the east, one can gaze upon the cultivation area of the famous Barolo wine, with well-tended vineyards arranged like a grand amphitheater on the hills, and the castles of Barolo, Perno, Serralunga d'Alba, Monforte, and Castiglion Falletto. To the west, the view descends into the Tanaro Valley and the spectacular panorama of the Alpine chain with the imposing Monviso massif.
The village has medieval origins, boasting a beautiful 18th-century church, some Renaissance buildings, and many charming farmhouses. The atmosphere is like from another era, and the hospitality of the approximately 900 inhabitants will make you truly appreciate your holiday. In the town center, there are restaurants, bars, and wine shops where you can taste the local wines.
Numerous well-marked hiking trails through the vineyards lead you on foot to the surrounding villages (Barolo 4 km, Monforte 6 km, La Morra 7 km). You are also in a strategically favorable position to visit the cities of Alba (15 km), Bra (15km), Cherasco (12 km), the Alta Langa, the Roero region, and the mountains.
La NOVELLA is located in the historic center, on the side that opens towards the Alpine mountain range.
