The Hochzeiger ski area can be reached in about 6 minutes by car. Parking there is free of charge. If you prefer to leave the car at home, you can also take the free ski bus, which departs 150 m from the house and reaches the ski area in 10 minutes.
The Pitztal Glacier ski area is a half-hour drive away or can also be reached by bus. There, skiing is possible from mid-September to mid-May.
Holiday destination
The Swallow's Barn is located in a small hamlet at an altitude of 1200m, 2 km away from the mountain village of Jerzens. You can reach the village in 3 minutes by car or on a 20-minute hike. There, you will find good shopping facilities for daily needs, several restaurants, and a doctor's office. The tourist office provides helpful tips for your holiday. Directly from the house, a hiking trail leads into the magnificent Ötztal Alps with rustic gastronomic alpine pastures. Within a few kilometers, there is a diverse range of hikes for all levels of difficulty.

Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche in Franzis und Werners Haus. Als Großfamilie mit 5 erwachsenen Söhnen hatten wir genug Platz, genossen den Komfort beider Wohnungen, die Gemütlichkeit, die hervorragend ausgestattete Küche, die Spielmöglichkeiten im "Stadl", die herrliche Aussicht, die abwechslungsreichen Ausflugs- und Wandermöglichkeiten im Pitztal und Umgebung uvm.
Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft wirklich sehr gerne!
DANKESCHÖN für die großzügige und sehr freundliche Gastfreundschaft! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!
