Dear interested parties,
Please understand that we have to charge a certain percentage of the rental price for cancellations unless the flat is otherwise occupied. We therefore charge the following percentages of the rental price depending on the shortness of the cancellation before the start of the rental period (up to 30 days 50 %, up to 21 days 60 %, up to 14 days 70 %, later 80 %). Of course, we will endeavour to find a new reservation so that you will not incur any costs in this case. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Other recreational opportunities
Hikes on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig and the Dream Loops are the perfect way for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts to explore the beautiful Hochwald. Cyclists can also indulge their passion in the Hochwald. The Ruwer-Hochwald cycle path, which leads from Hermeskeil to Trier, is just 5-6 km away. Bikes and e-bikes can be rented in the neighboring villages.
For shorter walks, the area around Grimburg and the circular routes around the reservoirs in Kell am See, Losheim am See, Bosen (Bostalsee) and Nonnweiler are ideal.
The beach resorts in Losheim and at Bostalsee, as well as the open-air pools in Kell am See and Hermeskeil invite you to relax and swim.
There is a small climbing forest, a mini-golf course, a tree trunk labyrinth and a barefoot path for children of all ages in the neighboring village. The large Geierlay suspension rope bridge, the treetop path at the Saarschleife and the summer toboggan runs in Braunshausen on Peterberg and Erbeskopf also invite you to spend fun-filled hours with the whole family.
For culture lovers, we also recommend a visit to the Züscher Hammer, the Völklingen Ironworks and the Celtic Ring in Otzenhausen. You can reach the Roman city of Trier from the vacation apartment in 35 km and the gemstone town of Idar-Oberstein in 45 km. Day trips to Luxembourg, the border regions of France and the Moselle, Saar and Nahe wine regions are also possible.
Holiday destination
Our vacation apartment is located on the outskirts of Grimburg, a small village in the Hochwald forest with around 500 inhabitants.
The castle complex of Grimburg Castle and the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig trail are in the immediate vicinity.
Experience hiking and cycling tours in the countryside on the beautiful hiking trails of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig dream loops and the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle path.
The central location allows excursions at short notice to towns on the Moselle (Trier, Bernkastel-Kues), Saar (Saarburg, Mettlach) or Nahe (Idar-Oberstein).
Getting there
Coming from the A1 motorway (Hermeskeil exit), turn right towards Gusenburg / Wadern. You will pass Gusenburg after just under 4km. After about 2km, turn right into the village of Grimburg, follow the main road through the village and turn into Neustraße about 200m after the church. Follow this road until you reach house number 19 on the left-hand side of the road.

Als Familie mit Hund ist es der ideale Ausflugsort. Man kann sich viel in der Natur bewegen und ist schnell in Saarbrücken, Trier und Luxemburg.
Die Wohnung ist hervorrangend eingerichtet und die Gastgeberine ist ein Sonneschein.
Dieses Reiseziel kann man nur empfehlen.
