Apart from the almost compulsary visit to castle „Neuschwanstein“ you should enjoy the Bavarian/Austrian cuisine with a number of recommendable restaurants and authentic beer gardens in the proximity.
We are happy to furnish you with plentyful hints on the various leisure activities in the immediate vicinity such as walking, swimming, cycling, golfing (two courses very close by) to name but a few.
Holiday destination
Our guests seeking active leisures enjoy hiking (possibly in the alps), cycling, swimming in the local lake, golf (2 courses) or explore the surroundings via wonderful daytrips even crossing the nearby Austrian border.
Our guests looking for a more quiet pastime enjoy a breakfast on the sunny garden patio, swing in the hammock (reading a book), observe the animals going persueing their business, watch the kids being busy in the play ground or savor a lazy picnic by the brook.
Getting there
From the north
Take the motorway „A7“ towards the town of "Kempten" and take the exit "134 Kreuz Kempten“
Take the road „B12“ heading for "Marktoberdorf" and exit at "Schongau".
Orientate onto the road „B16“ into the direction of "Kaufbeuren/Schongau“
After some 500m at the roundabout take the first exit towards "Schongau“
In the village centre of „Bertholdshofen“ turn left at the T-junction and head towards „Schongau“ taking the road „B472“.
After several km‘s turn right at the "Rettenbach" junction and leave the B472.
Drive through Rettenbach as well as the hamlets "Reisgang" and "Riedhof".
Just before entering the village of "Bernbeuren" turn left onto the narrow country road "Böllenburg“.
After about 1 km you will have reached your destination: "Böllenburg 1".
Park your car on the parking strip next to the playground.

From Munich
Take the motorway „A96“ towards "Lindau" and leave at exit "24 Landsberg am Lech-West“.
Head onto the road „B17“ in the direction of "Schongau" and exit at "Schongau".
At the T-junction turn right onto the „B472“ in the direction of "Marktoberdorf/Kaufbeuren“.
After some 500m turn left heading for "Burggen/Bernbeuren“.
Drive through the village of Burggen and then head for Bernbeuren.
In the village centre of Bernbeuren turn right and head towards "Kaufbeuren".
After the sign "Ortsende" turn right onto the narrow country road "Böllenburg“.
After about 1 km you will have reached your destination: "Böllenburg 1".
Park your car on the parking strip next to the playground.

Wir wären am liebsten da geblieben... das sagt alles aus!
Freundliche, aufgeschlossene Gastgeber, ein tolles Spielparadies für Kinder sowohl im Innenbereich als auch Outdoor, mit allem was das Kinderherz höher schlagen lässt (insbesondere das riesige Trampolin war der Hit - für Groß und Klein ;-)).
Ob nun die handzahmen Tiere streicheln, eine Ponywanderung, Baden im nahe gelegenen See, spielen im Bach oder Sandkasten oder Klettergerüst oder mit den Fahrzeugen oder oder ... alles ist möglich. Es lässt sich gar nicht alles aufzählen.
Den Kids hat es sehr gut gefallen, die Eltern waren begeistert von der tollen Wohnung die keine Wünsche offen lässt und sehr geschmackvoll sowie hochwertig eingerichtet ist.

Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern dort und wurden gleich super nett empfangen. Die Wohnung bietet wirklich alles, was man braucht. Vom Bettgitter über das Nachtlicht bis zum Bügeleisen. Und auch unglaublich viel Platz sowohl drinnen als auch draußen im Garten. Der Garten ist sowieso traumhaft mit Sitzecke, Spielplatz und Bach zum planschen. Und dazwischen watscheln die Enten hin und her -einfach idyllisch. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten eine tolle Woche mit täglich frischen Frühstückseiern.
