Holiday destination
From the holiday home you can reach the breathtaking dune area within a few minutes, where dunes and forest alternate. You can reach the beach in 10 minutes by bike. On foot through the dune area you can reach the sea within 20 minutes. Schoorl and 'artist village' Bergen are also just around the corner. In the village of Groet there are all necessary shops, bike rental and many small restaurants.
Getting there
By car:
Hogenolweg 12, 1873 HG Groet, The Netherlands. The holiday home Strandgroet is located behind the main house but has its own entrance.
You can park your car in one of the public parking lots.
With public transport:
At the Alkmaar train station, take bus 151 towards Sint Maartenszee to the Groet, Kerkbrink stop. It is 200 meters from the bus stop to the Strandgroet holiday home.

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines Häuschen, ideal für Singles wie mich (mit Hund) oder auch für Paare. In einem Gästebett kann auch noch ein dritter Gast unterkommen. Die Lage am Rand der Dünen ist Klasse. Die Mappe mit Wanderkarten, Magazinen und Tipps half bei der ersten Orientierung enorm. Der Strand ist ca. 30min Fußweg entfernt, die Wander- und Fahrradwege getrennt. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ums Eck sichert die Versorgung, die umliegenden Restaurants sind empfehlenswert, ich fand besonders das Pur Sang Klasse. Im Haus selbst ist alles da was es für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht, dazu ist alles sehr geschmackvoll zusammengestellt. Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse. Kleine Abzüge lediglich wegen der nicht direkt am Haus liegenden Parkmöglichkeiten...
