Around the Traunsee there are a variety of sporting and less sporting activities to enjoy. Besides leisurely walks (such as Grünberg, Gras- and Gmunderberg), there are also more demanding mountain tours you can take (such as Traunstein, Erlerkogel and Sonnstein).
Holiday destination
The holiday home is situated on the edge of a housing estate, but still in a central location. Adjacent is a small forest offering lake and mountain views. There is a footpath through this forest you can take to get to the shops for your daily needs. There is a bus stop nearby and the train station is within 5 minutes walking distance. The lake promenade is just a 20-minute walk away. The location offers an excellent starting point for all activities in the resort area of Salzkammergut.
Getting there
Coming from Salzburg and from Passau on the A1
-Regau exit
-On the B 145 (direction Gmunden/Bad Ischl)
-follow the B 145 until the village of Altmünster
In the village of Altmünster:
-turn right into Ebenzweierstraße (towards the train station)
-Keep left and drive into Maximilianstraße (continue towards the train station)
-at the crossing turn left into the Großalmstraße
After approx. 700 m turn into a dead-end street
