Holiday destination
The West Frisian Island Ameland is a perfect holiday destination for families, active tourists and for those who want to relax from the hustle and bustle. The holiday flat is close to the beach and set amidst the dunes in the comfortable building complex OSTREA and therefore a perfect starting point to discover Ameland, either on foot or by bicycle. Past the beaches and dunes and breathing the fresh sea air, you will feel well at once. Nearby are two forests where you can go for nice walks. The nearby village of Nes has many cafes, restaurants, shops and pretty clinker brick homes. Besides an unspoiled nature, Ameland offers many leisure activities. Trips with covered wagons or boat trips to the seal colonies are perfect for families. The nature reserve "De Hon" can be explored with the Strandexpress. The lovely landscape is well-suited for many outdoor sports, such as surfing, parachuting, golf, riding, tennis, swimming etc. Many interesting museums, e. g. the museum of natural history with viewpoint, or the visit to the lighthouse are worth a visit, too. In addition to that, there are numerous cultural and traditional events.

A. by car via Leeuwarden, Stiens to Holwerd (ferry dock); ferry to Ameland (approx. 45 minutes) b. by railway to Leeuwarden, directly from the rail station with the bus number 66 to Ameland/Holwerd and there with the ferry to Ameland

Die Wohnung liegt in Strandnähe in Nes in einem großen Wohnkomplex! Wie beschrieben ist die Wohnung direkt durch einen Aufzug erreichbar. Die Platzverhältnisse sind optimal. Die Zimmer sowie die gesamte Wohnung ist sehr sauber, geräumig und durch die Fensterfronten schön hell! Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht! Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben als vierköpfige Familie eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Ferienwohnung verbracht. Es gibt genügend Platz für alle und im Wohnzimmer bequeme Sofas zum Abhängen für den Nachwuchs. Die Dachterrasse ist riesig und der Blick in die Landschaft wunderschön. Der Strand ist gleich um die Ecke und die Lage auf der Insel ideal. Das Auto haben wir so gut wie nicht bewegt und die Insel wurde mit Leihrädern erkundet. Was wir besonders gut fanden: Die voll ausgestattete Küche. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Ferienwohnungen kann man hier tatsächlich vernünftig kochen.

Über die gute Bewertung habe ich mich sehr gefreut und trotz meiner soeben in den Alpen genossenen schönen Ferien freue ich mich schon wieder auf Ameland!
