Lake Sarnen can be reached on foot, Mount Pilatus, Melchsee-Frutt, Lucerne within a 30-min-drive by car. Good connections by train to Zurich/Interlaken. Comfortable shopping in Sarnen, market on Saturdays. Skiing, walking, rinding the mountain-bike (Kaltbad-Schwendi, Mörli-Alp, Fluonalp). Highlights: Mount Pilatus by cable-car/rack-railway, cable-car to Mount Turren and "Cabrio"-cable car to Stanser Horn.
Getting there
Airplane: Zurich Airport, then by hire-car or train to Lucerne/Sarnen Car: main direction "Lucerne", from Lucerne highway (direction "Gotthard/Interlaken"), exit "Sarnen Süd", follow the signs to "Wilen" For comfortable travelling we recommend to rent a car!
