Because of the short distance to the tourist centres of the east coast with their excellent infrastructure and the manifold offers for water sports and other leisure activities we can promise ramblers and mountaineers as well as beach tourists an enjoyable holiday.
Holiday destination
The historic area of the Castaniccia, which is famous for its great amount of chestnut trees, offers its visitors from march till december unlimited possibilities of walking up to a height of about 1800 m.
The coastal area with thousands of metres of sandy beaches, a great variety of opportunities for shopping and splendid touristy infrastructure can be reached within aprox. 205 minutes by car.
Just in front of the house is the beginning of the botanic trail which informs about a great variety of Corsican plants within 2.5 hrs and passes historic monuments as well as some of the most beautiful places of the Costa Verde. In the village you can buy traditionally produced Corsican cheese from the shepherd, do guided hiking tours or try your canyoning skills.
Getting there
Our flats are in short distance from the international airport Bastia-Poretta or from the ferry terminal Bastia (see table aside). Please note that it is essential to have your own car or a hire car. You find a lot of car rental firms at the airport.

Wenn man die Serpentinen und teils engen Straßen in die Höhe fährt, landet man letztlich in einem kleinen Dorf "am Ende der Welt" und findet eine sehr gut eingerichtete, saubere Wohnung zur Selbstversorgung vor. Das WC ist eine Trockentoilette, bei richtigem Gebrauch unproblematisch in der Nutzung. Der Kontakt zur Gastgeberin, die im EG wohnt, war problemlos und unkompliziert. 2x haben wir die Gelegenheit genutzt und uns bekochen lassen, dabei wird das sehr (!) leckere Essen im ruhigen Garten eingenommen. Die Umgebung bietet vielfältige Wandermöglichkeiten. Mit dem Auto ist man in 15-20 Minuten unten im Dorf, wo man einkaufen kann und schöne Strände findet. Wer Ruhe, Erholung und Natur sucht, ist hier richtig.

Wir drei haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Kontakt. Das Haus ist wunderschön und liegt hoch oben in einem kleinen Ort, sehr ruhig und mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick. Es ist zwar etwas Fahrerei bis zum Strand bzw. in den nächsten größeren Ort, aber für uns war das nicht schlimm. In der Nähe liegen diverse grosse Supermärkte, wo man alles bekommt. Wir sind damals nach Korsika geflogen und mit dem Leihauto dort unterwegs gewesen. Die Anreise vom Flughafen Bastia ist auch überschaubar und in einer Stunde machbar. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Wir hatten mehrmals Essen bestellt, mehr als eigentlich mal geplant.....es war einfach zu lecker, frisch und ausreichend große Portionen. Richtig schmackhafte korsische Küche. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder hinfahren.
