or one of the many small picturesque towns in the area.
Holiday destination
The country house is located in the border triangle of Latium, Tuscany and Umbria, between Siena and Rome, near Lake Bolsena and the town Orvieto. Adjacent to the house is the nature reserve Monte Rufeno with its forests an fields, which are ideal for walks. The rural seclusion, tranquility and the ancient villages, where it seems as if time has stood still, as well as the hospitality invite you to linger.
The lake is a mere 20 minutes away.
Getting there
Motorway A1 exit Orvieto, turn right at the toll station, then straight ahead (about 2 km) until you reach a roundabout.
Take the second exit, below an underpass
Straight at the traffic light, turn right after about 100 m towards Castel Viscardo (you practically drive in a half-circle around Orvieto, which is situated on a hill).
After about 3 km there's a roundabout, turn right, then left after about 300 m towards Castel Viscardo (at the ERG petrol station).
Drive straight on for a few kilometres. At the end of the straight stretch, there is a right turn. After approx. 200 m, turn left towards Viceno. Always follow the main street. After Viceno, continue about 3 km to the roundabout. Then turn left towards Acquapendente.

Wir haben als Familie mit zwei Kindern die Unterkunft Romeo auf Pomantello gebucht. Die Kinder haben unten in dem Doppelbett geschlafen und wir als Eltern oben.
Es war eine tolle Unterkunft und auf Pomantello ist es wunderschön. Traumhafte italienische Landschaft super nette und Hilfsbereite Gastgeber und vom Essen brauche ich gar nicht erst anfangen. Da würde ich nicht mehr aus dem schwärmen rauskommen.
Es gibt einen schönen kleinen Pool, einen Whirlpool mit fantastischer Aussicht auf Torre Alfina und ein mit viel Liebe bepflanzter Bauernhof.
Die Kinder hatten immer was zu spielen und wir konnten das süße Leben in der Sonne genießen.
In der Umgebung gibt es so viele tolle Orte zu erkunden und es gibt immer überall ein kleines Fest.
Wir haben direkt schon wieder für nächstes Jahr gebucht! :)
