Holiday destination
Bretteville Plage is a beautiful beach community with a small bar in summer and a land yachting school if you want to try a new sport. There are a good selection shops and restaurants are in the nearby market towns of Portbail, La Haye du Puits and Carteret, but also closer by in Denneville and s.t. sur-Ay. The beautiful Sandy beach stretches 4 km in either direction and is uncrowded Even in summer. The area is perfect for dog walking and close to nature reserves with Dunes. There are street markets within easy driving distance every day and many annual fairs and festivals. Visit to Jersey, Guernesey and the Mont-Saint-Michel and Bayeux are all recommended.

Das Haus ist klein, verfügt aber über alles, was man braucht. Gemütlicher Wohn-Essraum, gut ausgestattete Küche (mit sehr niedriger Arbeitsplatte), kleines Bad, kleines Schlafzimmer. Im Schuppen steht sogar eine Waschmaschine. Bei unserer Ankunft war alles sehr sauber. Vermisst haben wir lediglich einen Sonnenschirm. Dank des rundum eingezäunten Gartens prima für Hundehalter. Zum herrlichen Strand von Bretteville-sur-Ay sind's nur ein paar Gehminuten.

Das Häuschen ist ganz liebevoll und sehr schön eingerichtet! Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage ist wunderbar, der Strand gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir haben von hier aus viele tolle Ausflüge unternommen, z. B. La Mont Saint Michel oder zu den Landungsstränden / Omaha Beach etc. Catherine war sehr unkompliziert und sie hat uns zur Begrüßung sogar mit Lammkoteletts aus ihrer eigenen Zucht überrascht. Auch ohne Französischkenntnisse sind wir überraschend gut zurecht gekommen. Das Häuschen mit Garten ist komplett umzäunt und somit auch für Hundebesitzer sehr zu empfehlen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Ausgesprochen empfehlenswert!
