Originally a fort, The Highland Club is now luxury self catering accommodation with Tennis Court, Badminton and other activities. Loch Ness area is perfect for many outdoor activities.
The entrance is 100 yards from the centre of the village where there are many bars and restaurants.
Fort Augustus, home to the famous Loch Ness Monster, is 30 miles from Fort William and Ben Nevis Mountain, 30 miles North is Inverness, and the beautiful Isle of Skye can be reached in 1.5 hours
Getting there
Fort Augustus is at the foot of Loch Ness. Buses come from Inverness and from Fort William, both 30 miles away. Allow 3.5 hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow, enjoying the drive through Loch Lomond or the Trossachs Mountain Range. From Fort William follow the road to Inverness and just as you come into the village turn sharp right and the Abbey is facing you.
From Inverness head for Fort William and when you come into Fort Augustus, cross the bridges over the river and canal and bear left - the Abbey gates are there on your left.
