You can reach Alghero (Sardinia) also by boat with your own car leaving from Genova to Porto Torres (Tirrenia) - Livorno to Olbia (Mobylines or Sardinia Ferries) - Marseille to Porto Torres (SNCM) - Barcelona - Porto Torres (Grimaldi lines), but it is better to book in advance just to get the better and cheap rates.
Holiday destination
La Maison du Monde is the perfect place for couples, families with children and groups of friends who enjoy the privacy and tranquility just few steps from the beautiful sandy beaches and from the down town of Alghero, but at the same time, for people who prefer the originality of the places to the luxury and the 'friendship to the formality. During periods like the end of September and mid-October, the owners organize the grape and olive harvest, involving family, friends and customers.
Getting there
Once in Alghero, take the road to the railway station (loc. La Pietraia) skirting the station again then, after passing a children's playground, continue straight on venturing into the countryside (loc. Ungias). This leads to a level crossing and immediately afterwards to a bridge over a small stream. About 100 meters on the right you will find a sign saying Poneddu/Puntet, turn and you will have arrived at your destination.

Host informationFrom a very early age my parents and grandparents taught me to be attached and proud of my roots. As early as I can remember, I wanted to live in Sardinia.
Having met my wife Lucia, it has strengthened our Sardinian spirit, to the point of wanting to share with others. From our shared passion was born the idea to renovate the country house and the cottage inherited from my dear father Mario and so planning our dream ....
I inherited this land and its house and cottage in 2010. Ever since we started to renovate the first brick of the house, our dream was to create a place where our guests can feel at ease, and entering, breathed an atmosphere of genuine familiarity.
For us, Sardinia is part of our lives: it is the air we breathe and the food we eat. And it's nice to know what it means to the tourists 'live' Sardinia ....
For all of this, we'll welcome and assist you in the best possible way to ensure you to have a pleasant holiday in Sardinia.

Nous avons passé une semaine extraordinaire dans la Maison du Monde. Idéalement située nous avons pu pleinement profité de notre séjour. La maison ainsi que ses extérieurs (dont la piscine) sont vraiment magnifiques. Merci à Michele pour son accueil, ses conseils, ses petites attentions et pour sa disponibilité pendant notre séjour. Adresse à recommander !!!

Danke Michele, dass wir in deinem Haus wohnen durften. Es war eine Oase der Ruhe und mit Pool auch für die derzeit sehr hohen Temperaturen perfekt. Nur fünf Autominuten von Alghero entfernt war es ideal, um die schöne Stadt und die tolle Umgebung zu erkunden. Danke auch für den Wein und die leckeren Früchte aus deinem Garten.
