Cancellation policy
If you cancel up to 6 months before the trip begins, the deposit will be refunded and there's no cancellation fee. Less than 6 months & up to 3 months you'll pay 25% of the rental price, up to 2 months: 50%, 1 days: 75%, 14-0 days prior to arrival: the full rental price. A cancellation must be made in writing and needs to be confirmed. You should have a valid reason. We therefore recommend that you take out a travel cancellation insurance.

Holiday destination
The villa is located in Porto Ottiolu, a little village with a chic marina, bars, restaurants, supermarket, tennis court and soccer field.
The villa is situated at the edge of the village, about 500m from the centre, at the end of a cul-de-sac, absolutely quiet and with an unspoilt view of the Parco Marino Tavolara / the white sandy beaches of Ottiolu and Budoni, the entrance to the marina, so you can watch the sailing boats and yachts glide past from the house. A small path leads from the garden to the bay, approx. 100m (3-5-min. walk) away.
The bay can only be reached via this path or by boat, thus it has the atmosphere of a little private bay - even during peak season in August you'll be alone there most of the time, and your dog can run free.
Getting there
Book a flight to Olbia Costa Smeralda. I will pick you up there with one of my rental vehicles/they are parked there.
Vehicle with 7-10 seats, Golf Convertible, BMW Roadster, Land Rover Defender and motorcycles.
You can take the ferry from Livorno or Genoa with Moby Lines Sardina Ferries and the Grimald Line (usually the cheapest) to Olbia Golfo Aranci or Porto Torres (approx. 100 km). Sardinia is a large island!!! Cagliari is about 250 km away, Alghero 150 km.

Wir, 3 Familien mit 6 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder im Alter von 3-15 haben im Sommer 2021 wundervolle und erholsame 14 Tage Urlaub in der Villa Castel Smeralda verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist luxuriös und lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Die Lage der Villa am Ende einer kleinen Straße ist absolut ruhig, dahinter beginnt ein Naturschutzgebiet. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse auf das Meer ist der Wahnsinn und mit der Ausstattung wie Pool, Whirlpool, mehreren Außenduschen (auch Warmwasser), Sonnenliegen, Hängematten, Poolhaus und Grills hat man wirklich alles, um zu entspannen. Evi und Fritz sind extrem nette Gastgeber, die mit ihren wertvollen Tipps zu Ausflügen, Stränden und Restaurants zu einem rundum gelungenen Urlaub beigetragen haben.

Das Castel Smeralda ist wahrlich ein Geheimtipp für einen Urlaub an der Ostküste Sardiniens. Auststattung und Sauberkeit sind Erstklassig. Traumhaft gelegen am Ende einer Sackgasse und hinter dem Haus nur noch Natur. Sehr schöner riesiger Pool in einem wundervollen Garten mit viel Privatsphäre. Sensationeller Meerblick von allen möglichen Ecken des Hauses. Dies bieten sonst nur Häuser die 3x so viel kosten, wenn man überhaupt welche findet. Selbst eine Blickgeschüzte Dusche im Freien bietet Meerblick. Die Kommunikation mit den auf Sardinien lebenden Vermietern war überaus Freundlich und angenehm. Sie stehen einem jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Lieben Dank nochmals an Fritz und Evi für 10 unvergessliche Tage. Von uns gibt es eine 200 % Weiterempfehlung.
