Solanas is a 10-minute drive from Villasimius, the largest tourist destination in the south of Sardinia with numerous shopping and leisure facilities, entertainment and beaches. The wonderful water park Diverland in Quartucciu is a special attraction for the whole family (approx 30 min. by car). Aside from having the best shopping facilities, the capital Cagliari (about 45 min. from Solanas) also offers historic sights in the old part of town, museums, countless gastronomic highlights (in the harbour's marina district), cultural offerings including concerts, theatre, cinema etc., and last but not least the Molentargius Saline Regional Park with thousands of flamingos.
Holiday destination
The village Solanas is a small seaside resort and still unaffected by mass tourism and its negative impacts. The village centre is about 1.5 km from the house and offers its visitors several bars, pizzerias, supermarkets and renowned restaurants (during peak season). There's also a pharmacy, a church and a few grocery stores. The local market offers fresh produce from the Sardinian gastronomy as well as household goods and more; twice a week (Wednesdays & Fridays).
Getting there
Leave the greater area of Cagliari/Quartu and follow the Strada Provinciale (SP 17) to your destination address Via degli anemoni 56 in Solanas. Turn left. The SP17 is a very picturesque, winding coastal road with breathtaking lookout points.
Alternative route: SS 131, then the SS 554 until you reach..., continue on the SS 125. This is a motorway without curves, but you'll drive through several long tunnels.

Die Casa Solaria ist wirklich ein sehr schönes Fleckchen Erde, auf dem Berg gelegen hat man von der Terasse bzw. Garten einen wundervollen Blick auf das Meer und die Bucht von Solanas ( man kann sich daran nicht satt sehen). Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, sehr schön und es ist alles da was braucht. Selbst Insektenschutzgitter sind vorhanden und waren sehr hilfreich. Frau Galassi war durchweg für uns erreichbar wenn mal mal Fragen hatte oder Hilfe brauchte, wirklich eine sehr nette und tolle Gastgeberin, die sich sehr viel Mühe gibt und an alles gedacht hat. Es hat hier wirklich sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir fühlten uns pudelwohl aber was sage ich, schaut euch die Bilder an, bucht und habt einen wunderschönen Urlaub!!! Wer hierher kommt, macht definitiv alles richtig!!!
