Other recreational opportunities
Corbière is a lovely and multi-faceted location. From the wild areas on the edge of the Pyrenees to soft hills very similar to the English countryside. The area is a huge open air museum. 2000 years ago, the Romans knew that you could grow great wine in this area. This area has a bloody history including the crusades in the 11th and 12th centuries. There are still remnants of this time such as castles, old villages where time has stood still. One of the most famous locations from this time is the medieval city of Carcassonne. This fortified city is still authentic and attracts 2 million visitors a year. After the Eiffel Tower and Mont Saint Michel, this is France's third largest tourist location. Worth a visit.

SURROUNDING AREA
The area surrounding the country house has much to offer.
First the village of Thezan, just two kilometres from the house.
There there is a small supermarket, a tobacco shop and a little café (Le petit Motard) where there is great food every day for a very small price. There is a an open stage where anyone can play music or put on a show.
The beach in Sigean is 15 minutes away from the country house.
There is a Reserve Africane with many wild animals is 15 kilometers away toward Siegean, just like the beach.
15 minutes away there is Lezignan and on the left side before the motorway exit there is a sport flying facility where you can take air tours. Parasailing, skydiving. And there is a tunnel for free-diving.
In 30 minutes by car you are in the city of Carcasonne with its medieval centre. (La Cite Monumental Heritage Site).
In the immediate vicinity of the house there are many famous wine chateaux where you can taste very good and varied types of wine, and you can also buy it, naturally.
Here there are many old abbeys (monasteries) to visit.
The cathar village of Minerve up on a mountain is a nice visit. It is located between two enormous ravines. And a 40 minute drive from Das Landhaus.
Das Landhaus is one hour away from Spain.

This country house is located in the Corbieres region, 2 km outside of the village of Thezan des Corbieres.
It has its own driveway of 1.3 km to the country house.
Our country house is equipped with all comforts and has 260 m2 of living area.
The closest neighbors live about 200 m away, so you have optimal peace and quiet..
The region ensures that you can enjoy a wonderful holiday in the sun.
The comfortable country home is located on a property at the edge of the forested quarique of vineyards.
The 3000 meter2 property has parking for at least 5 cars.
The large covered entrance has a nice seating area.
The garden was laid with great care, and there are many fruit trees and many types of palm.
The country house has an exterior terrace of 450 m2 with heated swimming pool of 11 x 5 m and an outdoor shower heated with solar energy, 8 lounges, 2 hammocks, dining table and an Italian barbeque table.
The covered terrace (outdoor room) of 50m2 has a lounge seat and an 8 person table with a view of the pond integrated into this terrace. Just like the swimming pool and various tropical palms.
A true paradise in the south of France.
Getting there
Motorway toward Spain, Sigean exit, direction Portel des Corbières, then toward Durban/Thezan, stay on the Thezan road, and after 6 km turn left at the sign "'Domaine du Sault" (the drive), and it's the last house on the left side....BIENVENUE.
