Holiday destination
The quaint harbor town of Porto Petro is located on the southeast coast of the island of Mallorca, nestled between the Mondrago Natural Park and Cala D'Or, and is considered one of the most beautiful natural harbors on the island. The town, with a population of about 500, offers traditional charm, a few small shops, boutiques, cafes, and excellent restaurants. The restaurant Los Caracoles, situated directly on the harbor, comes highly recommended for its good, traditional cuisine and lovely sea views. The town has managed to preserve its traditional flair and is still relatively untouched by tourism.
For those who occasionally seek a livelier atmosphere, the town center of Cala D'Or, about a 10-minute drive away, is sure to provide the right setting. In Cala D'Or, there are numerous restaurants, cafes, bars, and nightclubs. Shopping options range from chic little boutiques to department stores.
On the other hand, those drawn to nature and the tranquil side of Mallorca are advised to visit the Mondrago Natural Park, take trips towards Alqueria Blanca, Santanyi, Calonge, S'Horta, or further into the heart of the island of Mallorca with its numerous attractions and enchanting landscapes.
