Ferienhaus2 in Quergasse 11. is one of our two guesthouses in Mönchhof. It is located in the historic heart of the village close to the church. Everything you need for everyday life is reachable by foot or by bike.
The 80m2house was built in the 1950s, has been refurbished and renovated and opened its doors to the first guests in May 2016. It was built in the typical style of the area and you enter it through a big door that leads into the yard. From this yard you access the garden and the house itself.
Our holiday home consists of a hall, two bedrooms (airconditioned), a kitchen- and living room area and a bathroom with shower and a toilet. All these rooms are barrier-free. The quiet yard has a 30m2porch with a roof.

There is also a wide cycle path network, which, leading you often very close to the vineyards, allows you to explore the Seewinkel region in your own time and tempo. You can rent bycicles directly in ferienhaus burgenland for 10.-€ for one bike for your whole staying.
The Pannonian Lowland - From a geological point of view the „Seewinkel”-region, meaning the flat area east of Lake Neusiedl, belongs to the Pannonian Lowland, the so called “Puszta”. The landscape is originally characterized by poor vegetation (treeless, steppe like), but with the climate being continental the area has been cultivated and is now known as one of the finest wine-producing regions in Austria. Nevertheless, if you wish to get an impression of the developments and progression of this region, a visit to the “Hutweide” close to Apetlon is recommendable.
The microclimate is mainly determined by Lake Neusiedl, a steppe like lake with only 1,50meters water depth. It is almost entirely surrounded by reeds, which are home to a wide range of flora and fauna, which can be detected in the Natinal Park Neusiedlersee.
Within one hour with the car there are 4 very interesting cities: Vienna, Bratislava, Sopron and Györ.
Coming from vienna, on the highway A4 until exit Mönchhof.
Train: From Mainstation Vienna in one hour to the station Mönchhof-Halbturn. From there only 800 m to the accomodation.
