A bright, friendly flat with red oak parquet, extended by adding a brick terrace. The kitchen island in the centre of the room allows you to see everything. It serves as a worktop and lookout. You'll be cooking with a view of the greenery or while chatting with the person/s sitting at the dining table. The double bed offers a nice view as well. Behind the bed is a glass door leading into the dressing room, which can be used as a small second bedroom with a mattress. You've arrived at 'geerdet' at the latest once you open the blinds, squint into the light and step onto the terrace...
das parkchâlet potsdam - in 2015, a new building was constructed in a modern style on the foundation walls of the previous building. It blends naturally into the park landscape as well as into the group of historic chalets (Swiss-style houses). Its clear architecture - which brings the beautiful surroundings inside via skylights, glazed gables or panoramic windows - exudes an atmosphere of quiet serenity.
Of the roughly 200 "Switzerlands" that exist worldwide - approx. 75 in Germany alone -, the Potsdam-Klein-Glienicker "Schweiz" is not widely known. Unlike all the others, this one wasn't referred to as a lovely or sublimely beautiful region. No, it is the vision turned reality (here, into stone) of a Prussian prince: In the 19th century, the special valley location between the Böttcher- and Babelsberg turned out to be an ideal base for creating his mountain world.
