Holiday destination
Valtura is known for its rich cultural and historical heritage. The most valuable find is Nezakcij, located heaps of only 2 km and a favorite destination for archeologists. Nezakcijska fort was formed in the Bronze Age. It was a political and religious center of the tribal alliance of the Histri and their capital. In 177. BC played a decisive battle between the Romans and the Histri. After the Roman conquest, Nesactium became a military reconnaissance station.
