The Het Woonhuis property is on Ameland, only 2 kilometres from the villages of Hollum and Ameland. It is suitable for 10 people, has 5 bedrooms, 3 of which have a wash basin.
On the first floor there is a new, spacious bathroom (2008) with floor heating, two showers, a washing machine, and a second, separate toilet. In the sunny living room there is a cosy, open-plan kitchen with oven, 5-plate gas cooker, fridge, and dishwasher.
The living room has a cosy seating corner with HD TV and DVD player. The southwest-facing garden offers you a lot of privacy, and it has a private terrace with a stunning view of the meadows.
If you are bringing your horse(s), then 'Het Woonhuis' is the perfect place for you. There are two stables, € 10 per stable per day. From the property you can go on rides through the fields and the dunes to the beach.

The property is on a 6-hectar plot. It has a stunningly beautiful view of the meadows, towards Hullum and the lighthouse. On the the spacious terrace with large garden you can enjoy the quiet, nature, stunning views of the distance, and magically beautiful sunsets.
On foot, through one of the most beautiful and most extensive dunes and nature area of Ameland, you can reach the beach and the North Sea. By bike you can reach the beach within around 20 minutes.
Getting here from Leer-Nieuweschans (border area)
Via the A7 to Groningen, take a turn at Europaplain in Groningen towards Winsum/Bedum and then stop in Aduard. Buitenpost, and then take the Dokkum junction. From Dokkum continue towards Holwerd –Ameland.
By taxi / bus:
Once you are on the island of Ameland, you can either take the bus or a taxi. These are available from the Nes terminal.
If you are planning on coming by bus, please ask the driver if he stops at 'De Witte Reep' or 'Lange Dunen'. Alternatively, you can get off at 'Kaasboerderij', and continue for 1 km towards the north.
By car:
From the ferry, turn left at the roundabout, and continue towards Hollum. Once you have passed Ballum, turn right at the first path.
